Software

Bioinformatics requires a sound foundation in statistics and experimental design, two critical components for the effective use of machine learning methods. We leverage the skills of our staff, our wealth of scientific data and computational resources, combined with partnerships with applied mathematicians and computer scientists, to build the tools needed to enable systems level understanding.

  • BBTools

A suite of bioinformatics tools used for DNA and RNA sequence data analysis.

  • BOOST

A suite of software tools to streamline the design-build transition in synthetic biology.

  • CheckV

The first fully automated tool for assessing the quality of metagenome-assembled viral genomes.

  • Meraculous

A distributed and scalable assembler for eukaryotic genomes.

  • MetaHipMer

A metagenome assembler designed to run on supercomputers and large clusters of compute nodes, performing coassembly of the largest datasets.
