FICUS JGI-NERSC-KBase

About the FICUS JGI-NERSC-KBase Call

The mission of the Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute (DOE JGI), as set forth in its 10-year strategic vision, is to serve the scientific community as a user facility pioneering functional genomics to solve the most relevant bioenergy and environmental problems. The mission of the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) is to accelerate scientific discovery at the DOE Office of Science through high performance computing (HPC) and data analysis. The DOE Systems Biology Knowledgebase (KBase) integrates systems biology data and tools to help predict biological function.  To jointly support these missions, and to expand upon highly successful past collaborations, the DOE JGI, NERSC and KBase are issuing a call for proposals in biological data science as part of the Facilities Integrating Capabilities for User Science (FICUS) initiative.
